WHO WE ARE...

Convivium Vocal Ensemble started with a love for singing, a love for gathering, and a love for eating. In 2022, five singers from the Wheaton College (IL) Conservatory of Music formed a group around three core principles: genuine hospitality, performative conviction, and musical excellence. The ensemble reformed into a sextet the following year, with two sopranos, an alto, a tenor, a baritone, and a bass.

...AND WHAT WE’RE ABOUT

Convivium gets its name from the Latin word for “feast” or “banquet.” Hospitality is a big part of who we are, and we seek to invite each listener to experience rich musical excellence together—performer and congregation alike. The ensemble’s repertoire covers a wide range of a cappella music, including Renaissance polyphony, jazz standards, modern choral works, and hymnody.
